Big Changes for London Web Radio in 2013

Big Changes for London Web Radio in 20132nd May 2013

London Web Radio (www.LondonWebRadio.com) has been broadcasting across the world since the early beginnings of the KryKey network in 2009 when it was just a pilot service and then as the service went into production LWR broadcasted full time from 2010 until the present. In 2013 London Web Radio will move from the current KryKey network (www.KryKey.com) to their new Premium network which will provide an even better stream quality and by July access on mobile devices by Apple, Android and Windows Phone.

Although development schedule is now over 2 years behind on the new KryKey 3 platform, London Web Radio has been testing certain features and this is what Doug Sanders, the CEO of London Web Radio had to say;

"we have tested the dial-number-feature both on a mobile device and a site as an embedded feature and it works really, really well. Type in 1-4-0 and London We Radio is displayed. We like the HD video streaming and of course the ability to have PPV events. We are planning a whole new range of media content and a permanent base of operations. We have started discussions with the London City Council and those in charities who work with the homeless to research the possibility of having a 24 web based TV channel giving those who are homeless the opportunity to have their own TV/Radio show. Plus we are looking at inviting different organizations to have their own shows and even the general public. Raw, un-edtited, and street level. We plan on having a News show and I can see using the live-reporting-via-mobile-app being a great help in this area. Maybe other Boroughs of London would also see the benefits of this and form a network, which can be done in the new KryKey 3. London Web Radio will also be changing it's name (and URL) and at this stage it will be London Web Radio TV, but anything is possible while we are in discussions. LWRTV will be able to cover any event in real-time with up to three locations. We will be able to go mobile with as little as a 10" Tablet with a fast internet connection and still have two more out in the field reporting, and all this being broadcast to any device connected to the internet via apps, sites and players. Once established and we have a working model we will be exporting it to our sister media station, New York Web Radio in 2014. The future for Radio and TV looks bright in 2013 and into the foreseeable future."

Mr. Sanders certainly looks like he and his team have planned for the release of the KryKey 3 platform and what looks like a unique opportunity for all those involved. LWRTV plans involve even more grass-roots involvement with backing by businesses in sponsoring shows and content. A planned show called 'Absolute London' will be at this stage we understand be sponsored by Absolute Vodka, and another called London Timeout (where to go out in London) sponsored by a well known chocolate company. Businesses should now look at what options this might bring and get in on the ground level at the start and getting the other benefits of helping this in the beginning, especially those shows that have content on social issues (homeless etc).
